ME

Yes this is my lucky shirt!!

I have always had a soft spot in my heart for horses and really most animals. I have trained horses and dogs since I was in high school. It is my passion, I feel like each day I learn something new. Most days when listening to our animals they have a lot to say, if we can be patient with them and ask the right questions.

My goal has always been to start a colt from the day it was born and take it to the largest rodeo/race in the world. My daughter #wyleemitchell helped me achieve this goal. She ran one of our home grown/trained horses at the American in 2017. She was just 12 years old and Smokey Gold Jack was 6. It was one of my ultimate dreams. Then In 2022 Wylee and I both qualified to the American Semifinals on 3/4 siblings. Gus & Jack We both made the top 30 with times of 13.7's we both advanced through the performance rounds again running 13.7's Gus Won his performance with a 13.70. It was a dream come true advancing all the way to the contender round of the American with my daughter on horses that she and I raised and trained. The competition was fierce and our home bred horses stepped it up.

We raise and train barrel and rope horses at our ranch in Dry Valley Nevada. Our motto is Give 'em a job!!! I feel that if you can rope and gather cattle on these horses and give them a job to do it really makes them come alive in the arena. Someday I hope that my stallion Dbl Vista Jack will produce a colt that will run there as well.

Set your goals high and reach for the stars!

I don't have a lot of monetary accomplishments, or silver & leather hardware  but I do have a pen full of amazing equine athletes that can run with the best in the nation
